1930's ivory silk chiffon puffed sleeve wedding gown / size Small / art deco / antique dress / bows / petite

This special vintage gown was handmade in 1939. It is made in a semi-sheer silk/rayon chiffon that is a soft shade over ivory. It features a pleated ruffle neckline with little bows at the collarbones, puffed short sleeves, and an inverted basque waist that is bias cut through the waist and hips. There is a sash that ties in the back so the waist size is somewhat adjustable. The gored skirt flares out at the hem which makes for the most magical effect when twirling! This gown is unlined and does not come with a slip. Metal side zipper.

*Dress story* I received this gown with a similar blue chiffon gown/overdress that I will be listing separate. https://vivianelisevintage.etsy.com/listing/1874916655 These can be worn together, but I think they look best with a simple slip. I also have the original headpiece, dress pattern, and a sweet little diary documenting all the brides wedding and honeymoon plans. Message me if you would like to see them! *Condition* Good vintage condition. Overall very wearable, but there is some underarm discoloration and one little hole under one sleeve as well as a mend under the same sleeve. I didn't notice any other issues. Cleaned and ready to wear!
